JOHNSON'S® Partners with Alder Hey Children's Charity

For 125 years JOHNSON’S® mission has been to create the gentlest baby products in the world. With decades of pioneering research with leading healthcare experts, JOHNSON’S® remains committed to producing the best products, that support the needs of families all over the world.

JOHNSON’S® is here to support families and never stops raising the bar when it comes to delivering the best for your baby. That’s why this year, JOHNSON’S® is proudly partnering with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity, because they understand that the first moments a parent shares with their newborn are precious and an important part of creating natural bonds. For neonatal babies, these moments, and the love and care of their family, are more important than ever. Often, however, the care neonatal babies require means that parents can’t always stay side by side with them.

The partnership will help towards funding Family Integrated Care Rooms in the new Surgical Neonatal unit at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, enabling families to stay with their baby every step of their journey. These new rooms in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will bring parents and their babies together in a private, comfortable setting so they can bond as a family, whilst still accessing expert care from clinicians.

Keeping parents close to their fragile baby is central to the care pathway, creating natural bonds as they learn how to care for their poorly baby - all within close reach of the nurses and specialists at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. The unit will be the first of its kind in the UK, and the JOHNSON'S® and Alder Hey partnership will help make this dream a reality for babies and their families.

Currently on the high dependency unit at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is Baby Craig. Born 13 weeks and 4 days premature, Craig has spent a lot of his life at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and is likely to be in hospital until he turns one. Mum Joy said that throughout Craig’s life, the care she has received from Alder Hey has been “absolutely amazing - spending so much time at hospital means that the staff have become family and that the hospital has become a home. The enhancements to the neonatal unit would mean that families are kept together, where they feel comfortable and safe. Something I know to be so important.”

Funding for the new family integrated care rooms at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will be raised through a pence-per-pack donation on limited-edition packs of the well-loved Classics range - JOHNSON'S® Baby Shampoo, JOHNSON'S® Baby Oil and JOHNSON'S® Baby Lotion.

JOHNSON'S® want to create a world where every baby thrives. This partnership between Alder Hey Children’s Charity and JOHNSON'S® can ensure that parents and baby can stay as a family for those important first moments. They deserve to be by each other’s side every step of the way.
