And today the company is being recognized for this work, landing a spot on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for the 22nd year in a row. The company ranks #2 on the Pharmaceutical Industry list and #27 on the overall Top 50 All-Stars list.
To create this list, Fortune—with the help of consulting firm Korn Ferry (which has conducted the research for the World’s Most Admired Companies list since 1997)—asked executives, directors and analysts to rate enterprises in their respective industries based on nine criteria. These include investment value, quality of management, social responsibility and the ability to attract and retain talented people.
